Team building for all teams
This is a city full of teams who enjoy being tested, not just entertained. So instead of a padded icebreaker, we bring genuine competition: our Next Level theme runs three difficulty tiers and over 300 challenges built around knowledge, logic and creative problem-solving.
It’s fully managed by an onsite event manager, the scoring is transparent, and there’s no trust-falling involved — just a smart, fast-moving event that gets even the sharpest teams properly engaged. Everyone takes part, everyone’s tested, and everyone has a brilliant time.
Every event is fully managed — iPads, a live app, a bespoke route and a ClueGo event manager onsite from the briefing to the final scores.
Cambridge Routes and Start Points
Your event starts from your own office, lab or conference venue, and we design the route outwards from there. That matters more in Cambridge than most cities, because the science parks and the historic centre are genuinely different environments and the right route depends entirely on where you are starting.
Routes are built around what the city offers:
The colleges and the Backs
King’s Parade, the Bridge of Sighs and the river frontage, for teams who want the version of Cambridge that visitors come for.
The market square and central lanes
Dense, compact, and quick to move through, which suits a shorter format.
The riverside and Mill Pond
Punts, bridges and open water for photo tasks that do not look like everyone else’s.
Cambridge Science Park and the northern cluster
Routes built for teams whose office is out here and who do not want to lose forty minutes travelling into town.
The Biomedical Campus and the south
The same, for the Addenbrooke’s and southern cluster organisations.
If your starting venue is out of town, we come to you. There is no requirement to bring your team into the centre before the event can start.
How a ClueGo Event Works in Cambridge
You give us a date, a group size and a start address. We take it from there to create a memorable bespoke team building day out.
A ClueGo event manager arrives at your venue, runs the briefing and hands out the iPads. The app guides each team along their route using GPS, unlocking challenges and photo tasks as they reach each hotspot, with a live leaderboard that keeps every team pushing to the finish.
Most events run two to three hours including briefing and results, and they go ahead in all weather. For dates where you would rather not chance it, our wet-weather indoor games bring the same competitive format inside your building.

Conference energisers. A 90-minute compressed format that gets delegates out of the venue and back sharper than any coffee break.
Onboarding and lab intakes. New cohorts arriving together is a Cambridge speciality. A hunt gets fifteen new people talking properly in an afternoon.

FAQ
your QUESTIONS answered
How much does a team building day in Cambridge cost?
Events are priced per person and fully inclusive — event manager, all iPads and equipment, custom route design and full event management from booking to final scores. There are no venue fees for outdoor events. Send your date and group size and we will come back within 30 minutes.
Our office is on the Science Park, not in town. Does that work?
Yes. We come to you and build the route outwards from your building. There is no need to move your team into the centre first, and no coach required. If you would rather run the event in the historic centre, we can do that too — it is your call, not a fixed itinerary.
Is this actually challenging, or is it a walking quiz?
Our Next Level theme runs three difficulty tiers with over 300 challenges covering knowledge, logic and creative tasks, and most teams do not clear the top tier. We can also dial the difficulty down for a group who want the social side more than the competition.
What group sizes can you cater for?
We cater for teams of any size! Small teams run as a single competitive hunt; large groups are split into balanced teams by the app, all on the same live leaderboard.
Where do Cambridge events start and finish?
Your event starts from your own office, lab, hotel or conference venue — never a public meeting point. Finishes are flexible; most groups end somewhere they have already booked, and we time the results to land with the first round.
Do we need our own phones?
No. We bring iPads pre-loaded with the app, and your event manager looks after all the kit on the day.
What happens if it rains?
Events run in all weather. For dates you would rather not gamble on, our indoor games bring the same competitive fun inside your venue, and we can hold both options open until close to the date.
