Where a Large Group Gets an Engaging, Fun Treasure Hunt
A big group treasure hunt lives or dies on whether people are actually racing, not queuing. At St Paul’s, lots of people can be competing at once – teams peeling off in every direction, chasing clues through Paternoster Square and the surrounding lanes, all watching the same live leaderboard shift in real time. It’s the difference between a “team-building day” and an event people are still talking about on Monday.
Every route is built from scratch around your group and your venue, not pulled off a shelf. At St Paul’s, that means a route designed to use the cathedral steps and the surrounding space as a proper gathering point – somewhere a large group can brief and set off without blocking a pavement – with the street network fanning out in four directions so teams disperse immediately and start hunting straight away, rather than following each other.
It is why a good share of our biggest London events start here. Everything is fully managed – iPads, a live app and leaderboard, a bespoke route, and a ClueGo event management team scaled to your numbers.
St Paul's Routes and Start Points
Your event starts from your own office or venue wherever possible. Where a group is too large for an office reception, or people are arriving from several sites, the cathedral approach works as a assembly point that nobody struggles to find.
The cathedral and Paternoster Square
The steps, the square and the surrounding streets — room to brief a large group and four directions to send them in.
One New Change and the eastern approach
The rooftop view, Cheapside and the route down towards Bank.
The Millennium Bridge and Bankside
A river crossing that gives you the best sightline in London and opens the South Bank for longer formats.
Fleet Street and Ludgate
The western run towards the legal quarter, useful when you need to spread teams further apart.
The Barbican and the northern edge
Elevated walkways and brutalist geometry, a completely different character within ten minutes.
Groups of Any Size Works Here - the app splits any number into balanced competing teams on one live leaderboard.
How a ClueGo Event Works at St Paul's
You give us a date, a group size and a start address. We handle the rest, and we scale the event management team to match your numbers.
Teams are briefed together, then set off on staggered routes so no two groups are doing the same thing at the same time. The app guides each team using GPS, unlocking challenges, photo tasks and puzzles at each hotspot, with a live leaderboard visible to everyone throughout.
Most events run two to three hours including briefing and results. They go ahead in all weather, and our indoor games are available as a backup if you would rather not gamble on the forecast.

FAQ
your QUESTIONS answered
What is the largest group you can run here?
Some of our biggest events anywhere have run from this part of London. The app splits any group into balanced competing teams on a single live leaderboard, and we scale the event management team to match.
Tell us your numbers and we will tell you exactly how we would structure it.
Where does a large group gather at the start?
Wherever suits you. If your venue can hold the whole group, we brief there and start from the door. If people are arriving from several offices, the cathedral approach gives you a space large enough to assemble properly and a landmark nobody struggles to find.
How much does a large London event cost?
Events are priced per person and fully inclusive — event managers, all iPads and equipment, custom route design and full event management. There are no venue fees for outdoor events. Send your date and group size and we will come back within 30 minutes.
Do all the teams do the same route?
No. Teams are given staggered routes so groups spread out rather than following each other, which keeps the competition genuine and stops any part of the route getting congested.
Can we cross the river?
Yes. The Millennium Bridge crossing opens up Bankside and the South Bank, which works well for longer formats and gives you the best photograph of the day.
Do we need our own phones?
No. We bring iPads pre-loaded with the app, and your event managers look after all the kit on the day.
What happens if it rains?
Events run in all weather. For dates you would rather not gamble on, our indoor games bring the same competitive fun inside your venue, and we can hold both options open until close to the date.
