The Square Mile packs centuries of history into a few square miles of narrow lanes, hidden courtyards and landmark streets – and most people who work here walk straight past it every day. A ClueGo hunt turns that walk into the event itself: teams race between the column at Monument, the alleys down to the river and the corners of the City they’ve never had a reason to explore, solving challenges and hunting for clues as they go.
It’s built for genuine discovery as much as competition. Along the way there’s history, hidden detail and a fair bit of good-natured rivalry between teams – all inside a route designed to work with your group’s day, wherever you’re starting from.
Everything else is handled. iPads, a live app and leaderboard, a route built for your group, and an experienced ClueGo event manager onsite from briefing to final scores.
Monument Routes and Start Points
Your event starts from your own building — most City offices are within a few minutes of the route, so nobody loses time getting to a start point. From there, the Square Mile packs more into a short radius than anywhere else in the country.

The column, the Fire’s starting point and the lanes running down to the river, all within five minutes of the
major office towers.
Leadenhall Market and the insurance quarter
Victorian ironwork, the Lloyd’s building and the alleys around Bishopsgate, which make navigation genuinely difficult in the best way.

How a ClueGo Event Works in the City
You give us a date, a group size and your start address. We take it from there.
A ClueGo event manager arrives ahead of time, sets up at the start address, runs the briefing and hands out the iPads. The app guides each team through their route using GPS, unlocking challenges, photo tasks and puzzles at each hotspot, with a live leaderboard that keeps every team pushing.
Events run one to three hours depending on the window you have. They go ahead in all weather. We also offer fun indoor activities, which are perfect for colder or rainier days and still bring the same level of competitiveness.

Our office is in one of the towers. Does that work as a start point?
Yes. We come to your building, set up in reception or a meeting room and start the route from your door.
Most City offices sit within a few minutes of the route, so no time is lost getting anywhere.
How much does a team building event in the City cost?
Events are priced per person and fully inclusive — event manager, all iPads and equipment, custom route design and full event management. There are no venue fees for outdoor events. Send your date and group size and we will come back within 30 minutes.
Can you run it in under two hours?
Yes. Our compressed 90-minute format is built for exactly this — briefing, hunt and results inside a single afternoon slot.
Is the City interesting enough for a treasure hunt?
More than most people expect. The medieval street layout survived under the modern towers, so you have alleys, courts and hidden churches sitting between the office blocks. Teams who have walked the same route to work for years routinely find things they have never seen.
Do we need our own phones?
No. We bring iPads pre-loaded with the app, and your event manager looks after all the kit on the day.
What happens if it rains?
Events run in all weather. For dates you would rather not gamble on, our indoor games bring the same competitive fun inside your building, and we can hold both options open until close to the date.
