The clients challenge

Connecting 8 Countries Simultaneously

This was our clients 3rd event with us and one to top them all!

The client needed a high-energy solution to unite 291 employees across 9 offices (including London, Paris, and Milan). The goal was to top their previous two events while staying within a specific budget.

This particular client liked to top each year with a new and exciting theme to enhance the previous year.

Their offices were spread over 8 different locations around the globe –

  • Amsterdam
  • Frankfurt
  • London
  • Manchester
  • Madrid
  • Milan
  • Munich
  • Paris
  • Zurich 

 

The goal was to drive global employee engagement by connecting every office simultaneously. Our Multi-City format was the ideal solution, allowing teams to compete in real-time from their own locations while feeling part of one unified experience.

As we were working with this client for the third year running, we needed something that would be completely different to their previous experiences, and as luck would have it we had just launched The Hunted, perfect timing!

our solution

Our hunted game is the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled escape and evade experience that can be provided at almost any location around the globe.

However, this would be our first time running the event in multiple locations simultaneously. Due to the event budget, we also had to rely on the non-UK teams providing their own smartphones instead of our iPads. This solution saved on our travel fees and accommodation, allowing the client to achieve their budget spend and book the event.

This was also our first time running a multi-city event with smartphones!

On the day of the event, our event hosts, Jim and James, made their way to the client’s London office, where they delivered the event in person to the largest of the 9 office locations.

Whilst the live event brief was delivered to the London teams, James briefed his Manchester and European teams over a Teams call remotely.

Following the briefing session, all 30 Hunted teams were released at their individual offices with a 5-minute head start. The remaining 30 Hunter teams were finally released, and the chase was on!

 

 

A global success!

This game always provides a huge amount of excitement before the teams leave the briefing, but this event was on another level!

With 60 teams and 9 different locations all competing on a global leaderboard whilst trying to evade and capture teams locally, it was a totally new experience for the guests and our event managers.

The event was a total success from beginning to end. A seamless functioning game via our app with teams being able to contact each other globally and see scores in real time meant that all offices felt connected. The introduction of smartphones to save the client money also worked perfectly without any tech issues and gave no advantage to the London teams using our iPads.

The client was over the moon with the professionalism of our event crew on the day and said that the feedback globally and from the London teams was excellent.
