2015 has been a fantastic year for us and a very busy time for our team. We’ve had the pleasure of starting and finishing our events at some great venues this year which has allowed us to improve our service and offer even more help to our clients when planning their event.
Lots of our clients have chosen to start their events at their offices which works really well, in most cases there is a municipal area that teams can gather and we can do our opening brief. However the final venue works better if its near the treasure hunt area itself . We look for venues that we can gather the clients into one area, get them some refreshment and occasionally suitable for a meal.
Venues that also offer a large TV or projector screen are also a bonus as it allows us to provide the event photos and videos on a big screen for the teams to see after their treasure hunt concludes.
If you are looking for a great pub/restaurant or hotel for your event then take a look at our round up of this years favored venues from 2015.

The staff are wonderful and Tom Downing runs it impeccably.

This is a must as long as you are a carnivore, the 18 hour slow roast beef brisket is a meal to physically and mentally prepare yourself for. The bar is also a sight to behold if you can’t find what you want here it’s not worth drinking.

This is a pub with real history. Very popular with tourists, but with a good mix of areas and some lovely food.
Perfect for smaller groups.
The Keys and Kitchen
Cross Keys, 6 Ely St
When I was a kid this was the Cross Keys, a Bikers pub with a great reputation for live music and the odd fight.
Today it’s seen a makeover and combines a family pub feel with gastro pub food and decor. The back garden is HUGE and dogs are very welcome.
Live music is still very important acts on most weeks, and the only fights now are on the TV.
Lancaster
The Borough
http://www.theboroughlancaster.co.uk/
I didn’t exactly host the event from here BUT I did spend two days watching four different events play out. The beer is exceptional as the pub has its own brewery. The staff is very happy to let you sample the brews until you find one you like. I liked them all.
The Pub is also a guests house, I’ll be staying here next time.
Breakfast is substantial enough to satisfy but not so huge it bloats you. All of the produced is first rate.
This is a popular pub, but if you find yourself in Lancaster it’s a must visit.
