ClueGo runs fully managed fun events in Newcastle that we run anywhere else in the UK – iPads, a live app and leaderboard, a bespoke route built for your group and an experienced ClueGo event manager onsite from the briefing to the final scores.
And Newcastle is genuinely good hunt territory. The city packs a riverside, seven bridges, a Georgian centre and a medieval castle into an area you can cross on foot in twenty minutes, which is a better hand than most cities twice its size.

Your event starts from your own office, hotel or conference venue, and we build the route outwards. Nobody is asked to gather at a public meeting point.

The Quayside and the bridges
The Tyne Bridge, the Millennium Bridge and the crossing to Gateshead, which gives you the best photo challenges in the north and a natural finish zone with plenty of bars.

Grey Street, the Monument and the Grainger Market, dense enough for a fast-paced format and handsome enough that visiting teams take it seriously.
The Castle and the old town
The keep, the Black Gate and the steep lanes running down to the river, which make navigation part of the challenge.

How a ClueGo Event Works in Newcastle
You give us a date, a group size and a start address. We take it from there to create a memorable bespoke team building day out.
A ClueGo event manager travels to Newcastle, arrives at your venue, sets up and runs the briefing before handing out the iPads. The app then guides each team along their route using GPS, unlocking challenges, photo tasks and puzzles at each hotspot, with a live leaderboard running throughout.
Most events run two to three hours including briefing and results. They go ahead in all weather — and if the forecast is genuinely against you, our wet-weather indoor games bring the same competitive format inside your venue.

How much does a team building day in Newcastle cost?
Events are priced per person and fully inclusive — event manager, all iPads and equipment, custom route design and full event management from booking to final scores. There are no venue fees for outdoor events, and no travel surcharge for the North East. Send your date and group size and we will come back within 30 minutes.
Where do Newcastle events start and finish?
Your event starts from your own office, hotel or conference venue rather than a public meeting point. Most groups finish on the Quayside, where there is somewhere to eat and drink for every taste in the office, but the finish is your choice.
Can the route cross the river into Gateshead?
Yes, and it is worth doing. The Millennium Bridge crossing and the BALTIC give you a route with two distinct halves and the best views in the city. It adds a little distance, so we would usually build it into a longer format.
What group sizes can you cater for?
Anything from 6 to 6,000. Small teams run as a single competitive hunt; large groups are split into balanced teams by the app, all on one live leaderboard.
What happens if it rains?
Events run in all weather, and teams are usually too competitive to notice. For dates where you would rather not gamble, our indoor games bring the same competitive fun inside your venue, and we can hold both options open until close to the date.
Do we need our own phones?
No. We bring iPads pre-loaded with the app, and your event manager looks after all the kit on the day.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular dates go weeks ahead, particularly summer Thursdays and December. Send your date and we will confirm availability within 30 minutes.
